What a spreadsheet to work it out and track the returns, also to make sure you don't over bet a race? Then this simple no fuss spreadsheet could be exactly what you need. What Can It Do?
The Menu: 1: Target: The Target for an individual horse to win, so if you have one horse in the dutch, the target if that horse wins, you will 100.00 less the stake, if the horse is 2.50, that would be 40.00 stake and 60.00 profit (before commission). If you had two horse the return will be 100.00 still but obvious after the stakes the profit will be less. 2. Commission: If using an exchange like Betfair the you will need a commission amount to be considered. 3. Threshold: How much of the field (market) you want to cover, if you say 80% then the sheet will not allow staking over that limit. 4. Race Loss Carried Over: If you want the next race to comence a mild recover losses from previous races, then you will mark as Yes, if you want each race to be independant and no loss recovery, then enter No. 5. Rounding Up: You can us this option is you have a minimum amount you need to bet, say you may have to bet .50 pence or cents, or a pound or dollar, then you use this option. So that is it as far as setting up the Work Tab, there are 6 work tabs at the bottom you can use. New Race: This produces the next race or event, you can use percentage permitting 6 horses, dogs, outcomes. Help: This button takes you to this page. Reset: This button clears the work tab, so you can restart fresh again. 6. Race: Auto fill showing the race number in the sequence. 7. Horse Name: Optional enter of the horse, dog or event. 8. Price: This is the odds you can get on the horse, dog or event. In this column you can if the persent limit is breeched, you can click right side mouse button and promote or remove HDE (Horse, Dog or Event) up to the top, and the cell will turn blue. So you can swap horses or dogs around to get the right selection you want and stay inside the percentage you have set. 9. Horse Percentage: This is how much of the 100% market that the Horse, dog or event takes. 10. Cumulative Percentage: This adds up the individual H,D,E (Horse, Dog or Event) and if the total exceeds the threshold you have set, then no staking will be allocated to that HDE. However you have the opportunity to select and deselect which one you would prefer to include over others. 11. Stake: This is the amount to invest on the individual HDE (Horse, Dog or Event) 12. Win/Lose: Dropdown menu W= Winner, and either leave blank or L for the losing HDE 13. Actual Price: Often the price changes from the one in column 8, for many reasons, you enter the new price if the horse wins. 14 P/L: This is the profit or loss for each HDE in the race or event. 15. Race P/L: This is the total Race profit or loss (before any commission.) 16. Race Return: This is the net profit after any commissions. 17. Running Return: This is the total for the worktab, (shown in the graph by the orange line). The Graph.Use in Football also:This will allow up to 6 correct score options. Above 56.00 outlay for a 41.64 return. Get the numbers right is half the battle, this looks after that, you need to do the selections. This is NOT A BOT, it is an excel spreadsheet that uses macros.
